Friends of BCAS Attends 4th Annual Explorer/Junior Firefighter Competition

It was a gorgeous day on the 21st of May; not a cloud in the sky (in the beginning, anyway) as we set up our table at the
4th Annual Explorer/Junior Firefighter Competition.

We are the Friends of the Burlington County Animal Shelter, and we were offered a display spot at the competition to promote our program and the shelter animals!

People loved seeing the dogs and cats we had out. We had several people say they wanted to visit the shelter and look into adopting!

I know the dogs had a great time too. Jack the big black dog (D-38908) was so happy. He got to go out 3 times that day and he enjoyed every minute of it.

I think the cats were less pleased, but most of them still enjoyed a nap in the fresh air, or loved the attention they got.

Thanks go to the volunteers who donated their time and help, the shelter staff who helped coordinate things on the shelter end, the event coordinator who let us participate (and provided free lunches for the volunteers, woohoo) and all the people who visited our display and donated to our cause!
Thank you!

 Lots of spectators!
